By now, you have learned all kinds of things about wedding dresses—from hidden costs to the etiquette of dress styles for the formality and time of day your wedding is held.  You should have a good idea of what things you like in a wedding dress, and what you don’t like.

You have explored designers on-line, and narrowed down your likes and dislikes in the previous checklists.  Now, comes the time to actually head out the door and do some shopping.  Before you go, you might want to phone around first—especially if you know what you are looking for.  Remember, most bridal salons carry limited designer lines.

The SmartBride Checklist for this module will give you all the questions to ask a bridal salon, or any store you are considering purchasing from.  If you are unsure, or come across something odd, bring it up in the members’ forum, or during the coaching calls.  We’ll do our best to get answers for you.

The first part of this checklist, helps you ask the right questions to find out whether the store you are interested in can supply more than just your wedding gown—bridesmaid dresses, flower girl dresses, tuxedo rentals, and bridal accessories like shoes and so forth.

The second part of this checklist helps you ask the right questions if you are considering renting your wedding dress.

The third part of this checklist helps you price shop once you have identified the dress you want.  It covers the services provided by the store—like alternations, colour dying shoes, and so on.

There is space for your own questions, and remember our certified wedding planners are available to assist you every step of the way.

Once you have chosen, and ordered your wedding attire, use the handy Information Sheet to keep track of the information so you can easily refer to it.  It has everything from manufacturer and style # to alteration appointments.
