Learn the difference between raw footage, edited in-camera video, post-edited video, a highlights video, and a photomontage video. Videographers offer these types of products, and often have additions to them, so it is helpful to know what they are before you go interview a videographer.

When it comes to videography, there are many styles for you to choose from. Here is an explanation of these styles.
Raw Footage is video that starts at the beginning of your ceremony and ends at the end of the reception. There is no editing, post-production graphics, or music. Amateur videographers most commonly offer this product. Professional videographers usually edit the raw footage.
Edited ‘In Camera’ video is similar to raw footage, with the difference that the professional videographer will shut the camera off during uninteresting moments, and will rewind and copy over unnecessary footage. It is called ‘in camera’ because the editing is done ‘in the camera’. When done by a professional, this can be a very nice option that is moderately priced.
Post-Edited video is the most common and the most costly because the videographer spends a lot of time creating this video. The videographer edits the footage by eliminating boring bits, creates smooth transitions, and adds in titles and music. If you have multiple cameras, all the footage is blended together into one video. There is an option that some videographers offer, and that is to include still photos of the couple’s pre-marriage years, and/or include photos you took during your honeymoon.
Highlights is a video that edits your footage into 20 to 30 minutes of the ‘greatest hits’ of your wedding. Sticking to the key moments, and key actions, this video is usually fast-paced, set to music, and a perfect way to share your wedding with your family, bridal party, and friends.
Photomontage is a video that takes still photos and makes a video out of them. Pictures can come from your childhood, teen years, your courtship, your engagement, your wedding, and your honeymoon. Titles can be added, and music is usually included.
