Here is where you finalize all the elements you have agreed to for renting your ceremony site.  The checklist gives you an outline of the contract and helps ensure you don’t miss anything important.

It is important that you finalize all the elements you want in your wedding ceremony.  You want to know what your ceremony site supplies and allows, and what things you need to take care of yourself.

If your ceremony will take place in an outdoor space, you will need to bring in everything from chairs to decorations to a way to create a focal point for the ceremony.  This might mean renting an archway, or lattice backdrop, bringing in columns, or creating a tented area for the bridal party.

If you are in a house of worship, you might have to adhere to modest attire, sacred music, or other requirements.  Knowing what you want is important, so you can be sure that it is allowed.

If you are renting a space like a historical building, art gallery or other location for your ceremony, there can also be restrictions or requirements.  I know one beautiful wedding site that does not allow candles because of insurance issues.

At this point in the wedding planning process, we want you to decide what you want for your ceremony—-traditions, and overall elements.  Later, you will work out all the details, but now, knowing what you want will ensure you find a location that allows those things to happen for you.  The checklist has all the details.  Enjoy!
