The module lets know you everything you need to ask to ensure that both your officiant and ceremony site will satisfy  your wedding needs.

The following article is an example of the content we have in our online wedding planning membership site HappyWeddings.ca under the heading of Ceremony Site. To learn more and get useful wedding planning tools for FREE  click here!

The Officiant and The Ceremony SiteIn this module, we will guide you through those things that you need to consider when booking an officiant and a ceremony site.  Under FINALIZE, which you will reach in a few months, you will actually PLAN the ceremony, but here we just need to help you book the right person and place to hold your ceremony.

There were many ceremony sites listed in the Vision module, and here we explore them more fully before booking the right place and people.

The SmartBride Checklist for the officiant gives you questions to ask the officiant about the ceremony itself.  It is important that you have an idea of what elements you want included in your ceremony.  This could be personalized vows, a candle ceremony, a special musical performance, or any other element you want for your wedding.  Speaking with your officiant of those elements will help you decide if that officiant is the person for you.  You should feel comfortable with your officiant.

The SmartBride Checklist for the ceremony site gives you all the questions to ask about the ceremony site.  Your house of worship might have restrictions on photography, or music.  If you choose another site, there might be restrictions on the use of candles or other decorations.  The checklist has all these and many more questions to ask.

Print out these two SmartBride Checklists, and call those places that you identified in your Vision – Wedding Location module.  Once you have your answers, you can narrow down your location choices, and make an appointment to meet them and view the site.
